On October 21st 2010 a representative of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland participated in a conference “Experiencing History – New Tools and Methods for the Dissemination of History” and presented a project of creating a multimedia museum dedicated to the history of the Jews of Zamosc in the Renaissance Zamosc synagogue. The museum is created in cooperation with the Galicia Jewish Museum www.galiciajewishmuseum.org .

The museum is being established within the framework of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland project "REVITALIZATION OF THE RENAISSANCE SYNAGOGUE IN ZAMOSC FOR THE NEEDS OF THE CHASSIDIC ROUTE AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY" supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. The official opening of the synagogue and the museum will take place on April 5th, 2011.

The conference “
Experiencing History – New Tools and Methods for the Dissemination of History” was organized by the Meritum Informal Education Association.
