Town Hall in Barlinek in cooperation with the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland is carrying out a project of commemoration of the local Jewish cemetery. The cemetery borders will be marked and a memorial plaque will be installed.

The Jewish cemetery in Barlinek was founded at the turn of the 18th century. It's located on a hill called "The Jewish Hill". The cemetery remained the World War II almost unharmed. It was devastated after the War. Nowadays there are only fragments of matzevot left.
