On January 20, 2022, at the headquarters of the FODŻ in Warsaw, a meeting of representatives of our Foundation and the Mieczysław Weinberg Institute took place, the main goal of which is to commemorate, develop and propagate the heritage of the composer Mieczysław Weinberg and other Polish composers of Jewish origin and to raise the musical culture of society. The subject of the meeting were the prospects of cooperation between FODŻ, which this year will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its existence, and the Institute, which will end its first year of activity only on February 10 this year. During this first meeting, we discussed the possibility of taking steps to implement events that will serve to revive interest in synagogues belonging to FODŻ, and which will serve performers and lovers of works by Polish composers of Jewish origin.
