It is with satisfaction and gratitude that we received information of Poland's withdrawal from participating in the Review Conference of the World UN Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance (Durban II).
The Durban I Conference (particularly its first part) became opportunity for an open attack,  unprecedented in the history of the UN, against the sovereignty of the State of Israel and for spreading of Anti-Semitic ideas. Current Durban II Conference, with Libya, Iran, Cuba, Syria and other countries known rather for their abuse of human rights in the lead, seems likely to just repeat the conclusions of the first conference.
We are very happy that with this decision Poland joined USA, Canada, Italy, Holland, Sweden News Zealand and Australia, consistently supporting democracy, peace and respect for minorities.
