The inmates of the Penitentiary Facility in Prudnik will clean up the local Jewish cemeteries in Biala and Prudnik. Details are discussed between the Facility authorities and the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland. The Penitentiary Facilities in Plock and Glubczyce also expressed their willingness to participate in the project so far. The works should begin in early spring 2010.

On June 19, 2009, an agreement was signed between the Central Board of Prison Service and the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland. Within its framework the inmates of 85 correctional facilities will be given opportunity to voluntarily help cleaning up Jewish cemeteries in Poland.
