Who are we

Complex of Middle, High and Professional Schools in Byczyna

Why we do this project

We do realize the project because we would like to explore the history of our town and its inhabitants.
It is important to us that the material remains of the Jewish past of Byczyna survive for the next generations, so they can be a source of knowledge for them too.

What we do in the project

We take care of the Jewish cemetery nearby. We visit the place regularly to keep it clean. We organize also many contests, and school plays related to the Jewish history and culture in our school.

 

What we are going to do next

During this school year we would like to present to our fellow students the Jewish culture, among others by a series of "Jewish Music Meetings".

 

Who is helping us

We are being supported by the mayor and the officials of Byczyna, as well as by our headmaster. We can always count on Mr Paweł Skupin, who shares his knowledge with us.

What are we proud of

We are especially proud of the fact, that we are acting to preserve the memory of old Byczyna and its inhabitants. Working on the project is a source of satisfaction, since we can do something for our society and our town. We are always glad to meet interesting people and visit interesting new places.
