Who are we

What we do in the project

• Creating documentation related to the presence of the Jews in Wasilkow (interviews with inhabitants, photographic documentation of the town monuments);
• Making educational trips to the multicultural related places in Wasilkow;
• Walking the Jewish Heritage Trail in Bialystok;
• Making excursions to the multicultural places in podlaskie province (synagogue in Tykocin, Annunciation of the Virgin Mary monastery complex, Icon Museum in Suprasl, the town of Krynki and the Tatar mosque in Kruszyniany);
  
  Learning about Jewish tradition and culture:
• Organization of a Jewish culture festiwal (multimedia presentation, lectures prepared by students on the most important Jewish holidays, movie show, presentation of traditional and modern Jewish music);
• Guest visits of experts;
  
  Taking care of the Jewish cemetery:
• Lecture on customs and burial rites in Jewish religion;
• Clearing up of the cemetery grounds and the matzevot;

  Promotion of the students’ activity and bringing back memory of the multicultural past of our town:
