What we do in the project

Within the framework of the project students gather all kind of information and material evidence related to the culture and history of Jews in Szydlowiec and its surroundings. They interview senior inhabitants who remember times when Poles and Jews shared the same ground; those relations are written down and in the future they will be used in a work "On the same ground".

Pictures, documents, souvenirs and material objects of everyday use are presented on an exhibition "These towns are no more".

The students also participate in a town event called "The second day of Jewish culture- Mazel Tov", taking place on April 27, 2007. In cooperation with the Castle Culture Center in Szydlowiec and "At Radziwill" Poetry Theater they are preparing a school play entitled "Szagalewo", based on Jewish poetry.
