Middle School in Zbąszyń

What we do in the project

Through a series of meetings with the members of Jewish community in Lublin and youths from Israel,  we want to explore the Jewish religion, traditions and culture. To realise this purpose better we will also make interviews with senior citizens who still remember the times when Jews and Poles lived peacefully in Zbąszyń. The students will also search for informations about most important Polish Jews and their contribution to the Polish culture. The monument marking the place where the Jewish used to be will be taken care of, and the students will participate in the Holocaust Memorial Day, when they will present the results of their work: photo albums, multimedia presentations, short movies, and photo exposition.
