KORCZYNA - Secondary School

What we do in the project

Students of the 1st grade of the Middle School in Korczyna, together with their teacher, Ms. Alicja Delikat, have decided to join the “To Bring Memory Back” program. They meet when the classes are over and work together to discover the history of their town and of the Korczyna Jewish cemetery.

Students prepare presentations based on the information they have gathered, and in May 2006 a school conference will be organized, where issues concerning the Korczyna Jews are to be discussed. The students have also initiated cooperation with the local press that will publish some of their materials.

The youths also intend to visit and clean up the local Jewish cemetery
