Sitting at common table during our last meeting we discussed the subject of Shabbat dinner. During interviews we made with the inhabitants of Miedzna we learned how the Jews were preparing themselves for the holy day, what they were eating, which activities were allowed and which ones were not. Different meals showed up on our festive table: hallah bread, chopped herring, kugel and of course cholent. They were yummy!
It was nice to just sit and chat among friends. We were speaking about the past, different tastes, and about the ways of cooking strange meals which really werent that strange for all of us.
