We kindly invite you to the events commemorating the extermination of the ghetto and the Jewish community of Zamość.
On October 16, 1942, the Jewish district in Zamość was brutally liquidated. Traditionally, to commemorate these tragic events, we organize a March of Remembrance and educational program. We want to commemorate our Jewish neighbors who have been co-creating Zamość for generations, as well as people from other cities and countries who ended up in the Zamość ghetto. Most of them were murdered in German death camps. 83 years ago, on October 16, 1942, the Germans ordered the survived Jews to walk to the ghetto in Izbica. This march, which cost many people their lives, is the symbolic end of the presence of the Jewish community in our city.
