The Hebrew alphabet has no secrets for us now… 30 students from fifth class have studied it. On the blackboard a chart with sequential letters was hanged - and we pointed them. Their names were said aloud: aleph, beth, gimel, delet, he, waw… On previously prepared sheets of paper words describing family members appeared (mother, father, uncle, aunt, child, daughter…). We named flowers (rose, snowdrop), fruits (pomegranate, raspberry…). We pronounced words related to the times of World War II (Holocaust), and  greetings (with peace…). We all found out the words in Hebrew should be read from right to left. We have calligraphed the letters with great perseverance. It has to be admitted – some of us were doing it perfectly.
