In November 2006, the students of our Middle School No. 1 in Człuchów visited the Jewish cemetery in Debrzno, located about 20 km from our town. The cemetery is under care of the residents of the local Youth Care Center under the direction of Mr Ireneusz Jabłonski. During the meeting we learned that the youth from YCC were taking care of the cemetery since 2003. About 40 matzevot remained on the ground till today, quite in good condition, with visible inscriptions written in German and Hebrew. It is possible to decipher the names of the deceased, the dates of their birth and death.

The students of our school have already arranged the date of our next meeting along with the spring cleaning of the cemetery ground.
