During our two meetings we were reading the Diary of Dawid Rubinowicz. Our peer described the reality of a war-torn country. We learned a lot about everyday life during the occupation, forced labor, the obligation of giving away the fur coats and warm jackets, the raids, the curfew, hunger, bad conditions and uncertainty of tomorrow.
We learned what the teachers and fellow students thought of Dawid. We discovered what happened to him after.
We prepared a wall decoration in school, to allow our colleagues to familiarize themselves with Dawid, and to see some pictures related to his life and times.
