It was not easy to get past traffic jams, but finally we managed to reach our destination: the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw. We learned the history of the coming of the Jews to Poland, and their history troughout the ages. We discussed the holidays and the related customs, we watched cult objects, elements of synagogue fittings, paintings and sculptures created by the artists of Jewish descendance. We visited the exposition dedicated to the life, fight and destruction of the Warsaw ghetto. At the end of our trip we paid a visit to the monument of Janusz Korczak. We placed a candle there, to prove that the memory of a man who remained with his children until the end lives still.
