We organized a contest for the most beautiful menorah or chanukkiyah.
Everyone was invited to participate in our contest, though only 13 works were sent, among them 12 menorahs and only one chanukkiyah. The goal of the contest was not only to show the capabilities and artistic talents of our students, but above all to familiarize the students of our school with one of the most important symbols of Judaism: the seven-branched candelabrum. The students learned what the menorah means to the Jews, when it should be lighted and how to do it in a proper way.
All contestants received awards: books, small gifts and diplomas.
