Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland took under patronage the Jewish culture and music workshops which will take place on January 11, 2008 at 13:30 in the Jan Sobieski High School in Warsaw (Czerniakowska St. 128).
The workshops will be carried out by Dr. Monika Zytke, musician, conductor and lecturer of the Pomeranian Academy, and ethnicity expert. The meeting will be composed of two parts: the multimedia presentation on Israeli history and culture, and the open music workshops covering learning of the Chassidic songs (with the participation of the Tutti Cantamus choir). Also performing will be the vocalists of the Shomer group led by Dr. Zytke. The main idea of the workshops is to break the stereotypes and national prejudices resulting from lack of knowledge by exploring foreign countries’ culture.
