During one rainy weekend of the European Heritage Days in September 2007, a series of events under the title "Zimes of a Jewish culture" took part in Gliwice for the third time. The hometown of Oskar Troplowitz offered to the visitors a very rich and attractive program: concert of Slava Przybylska and the Moscow cantor choir Chassidic Capella on Saturday, Jewish poetry morning and a meeting with Jewish cuisine on Sunday, and the concert of the Pressburger Klezmer Band from Bratislava as a final attraction.  
In the ruins of a burned theatre the amateurs of Jewish folklore were given opportunity to sing together in yiddish. Songs as "the town of Belz" performed by Marek Rawski were an invitation to sing along. The participants learned two simple Yiddish songs: "Az der Rebe" and "Balalaika". Enriched by this experience, we hope to come again next year.
