Jewish cemetery located on Tarnowskiego St. was established in 16th century. First Jews began to settle in town in 1579. In 1921 their number reached 6784 people. The last burial was registered in 1942. During World War II the cemetery was destroyed. Today there are 30 damaged matzevot. Bigger part (about 150 fragments of broken matzevot) is exhibited in Regional Museum in Kutno. The cemetery is 3.01 ha. |
