Jewish cemetery in Lowicz was established in 1829. In 1939 - 1945 Germans devastated the cemetery, the matzevot were used as a building material to build Bzura’s embankment. After the war the missing fragments were restored. Today there are 400 matzevot left. The oldest one is from 1831. The area is fenced. The cemetery is 1.9 ha. More information: |
