RUDNIK NAD SANEM - High School
Students of the Rudnik High School together with their schoolteacher Ms. Renata Cudzilo explore the history of their town and its former Jewish inhabitants.
20 people, mostly from second grade, applied for the project. They meet regularly once every three weeks. They gather information relating to the history of Jewish presence in this region, which are often truly fascinating.
They interview local people, who remember pre-war times. Recently they started working together with the Society of Friends of the Rudnik Region, which is very helpful to them. At the meetings, they discuss on Jewish culture and tradition and now they are preparing the script of a play based on Jewish humour. They plan to organise an educational exhibition showing the history and the culture of the Rudnik Jews.» back
