On May 2018 in the "Synagogue" Center of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, we will be presenting the paintings exhibition of Dariusz Król entitled "Roztocze in painting".
Dariusz Król is an artist from Szczebrzeszyn who reflects the beauty and mystery of Roztocze's nature. His works have been presented at over 50 exhibitions and could be found in many collections in Poland and abroad.
Anna Katarzyna Maleszko, curator of the Japanese collection at the National Museum in Warsaw about the artist's works:
"Dariusz Król, an artist born and living in Szczebrzeszyn, remained faithful to the native land and tradition of Polish landscape painting. For decades his unusual miniatures and larger compositions expressed attachment and love for quiet meadows and peaceful backwaters of the Roztocze region.
The views of meadows with blooming grasses and field flowers are an extraordinary synthesis of the image of nature, philosophical contemplation and mindful, sensitive observation. Blades of grass, delicate petals of camomile flowers, delicate dandelions are painted with jewelry precision, which is like an astonishment over the beauty and mystery of Nature. Plants are the main protagonist of the story, shown very close, drawn with delicate lines of subdued colours, dominated by blues, greens, browns and grays with a bright patch of whites, roses or blues of field flowers on the background”
The exhibition will be presented until the end of May 2018.
The opening will take place on May 11th, 2018 at 5:00pm.
