The "Synagogue" Center of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland organized a summary of the last year of our institution's work, which took place on September 25, 2019 at 1 pm
The summary had an unusual form. We invited representatives of the city authorities and cooperating institutions to plant 500 daffodil bulbs.
As the third city in Poland, we joined the global campaign The Daffodil Project (daffodilproject.net). Its purpose is to plant 1.5 million flower bulbs commemorating children who died during the Holocaust.
The planting was attended by: Mrs. Małgorzata Bzówka - Vice President of the City of Zamość, Mr. Piotr Bartnik - director of the Książnica Zamojska im. Stanisława Kostki Zamoyskiego, Mrs. Aleksandra Bondyra from the Festiwal Stolica Języka Polskiego, Mr. Jacek Feduszka from the Muzeum Zamojskie w Zamościu, Mr. Director Janusz Nowosad and Joanna Bilska - Pawłowska from the Zamojski Dom Kultury , Mrs. Katarzyna Pleskaczyńska - director of the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury MDK w Zamościu, Mr. Piotr Orzechowski - director of the Culture and Sport Department of the Zamość City Council, Mrs. Marzena Tadeusz, director of the Bernardo Morando State High School of Fine Arts in Zamość with her students and Zamość tourist guides: Mrs. Ewa Pasieczna and Mr. Krzysztof Hałon.
Mazagran cafe has prepared a special autumn treat for guests!
Daffodils will bloom in April, when we plan to show the exhibition "My Jewish parents, my Polish parents" of the "Children of the Holocaust" Association in Poland, which will be available to us by the courtesy of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.
