The "Synagogue" Center of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland and the Regional Museum in Krasnystaw would like to invite to the speech of Konrad Grochecki entitled "Symbolism on the eighth day and Fibonacci sequence in the architecture of the Orzechowski tomb in Krynica."
The lecture will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 6:00pm at the "Synagogue" Center at Pereca 14 St. in Zamość.
The Orzechowski Mausoleum (more commonly known as the Arian Tower or Grobisko) from the turn of the 16th and 17th century, that is located on one of the highest hills of the village of Krynica near Krasnystaw, is an extremely interesting monument. So far unrecognized. In recent years, Konrad Grochecki has studied the monument and will share his knowledge and discoveries with us. It turns out that the architecture of the pyramidal monument contains a statement of a philosophical and eschatological nature. The basis of this message is the structure of the building based on the number constituting its measure. This number is contained in the tomb module discovered by Konrad, in which whose multiples symbolic meanings are hidden.
Konrad Grochecki - born in 1984 in Krasnystaw. A graduate of history (2008) and archeology (2009) of the Faculty of Humanities at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. Currently a PhD student (Institute of History of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin) and a worker of the Regional Museum in Krasnystaw.
