This year marks the 80th anniversary of the extermination of the ghetto and Zamość Jewish community.

On the initiative of Janusz Kupczyk, Zamość City Councilor, Marek Kołcon, historian and author of the FB page "Żydowski Zamość", and Daniel Sabaciński, FODŻ worker, a social committee was established to commemorate these tragic events and pay tribute to those murdered under Operation "Reinhardt".

Following the example of last year, we will organize a March of Remembrance, which will be accompanied by additional educational events.
We present the preliminary program of the anniversary events (all events in Polish):

October 14, 2022 (Friday)
- 5:30 pm - The extermination of the ghetto in Zamość - lecture by Mr. Marek Kołcon - The "Synagogue" Center of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage, Pereca 14 st. in Zamość.

October 15, 2022 (Saturday)
- 11:00 am - memory trip to the Museum and Memorial in Bełżec (limited number of participants)
- 5:00 pm - Historical walk around Jewish Zamość with Daniel Sabaciński - meeting point at the FODŻ "Synagogue" Center

October 16, 2022 (Sunday)
- 14:00 - March of Remembrance on the 80th anniversary of the extermination of the ghetto in Zamość. (walk from former New Town Synagogue at Reja st. to 'Zamość Starówka' train station)

The initiative is open. We invite all persons and institutions willing to support our activities to contact us.
