We would like to invite you to Maria Sławek's solo violin recital, the next edition of the "po:miejsca" project. The event will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the FODŻ "Synagogue" Center at 14 Pereca Street in Zamość. Free admission.
Maria Sławek, violinist, academic lecturer, president of the Mieczysław Weinberg Institute, and board member of the Jewish Institute of Art, as well as this year's scholar from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, is giving a series of solo concerts entitled "po:miejsca" in former synagogues, houses of prayer, and spaces associated with the defunct Jewish community.
At the Zamość Synagogue, Maria Sławek will perform a solo recital, primarily composed of works by Jewish composers, as well as her own composition, "Almost Nobody Here Anymore," which she wrote for last year's "Zachor" at the Płaszów Concentration Camp Museum.
