The Jewish cemetery located on Zarzecze Street in Augustow was founded in early 19th century. During the World War II it was destroyed - only 20 devastated matzevot have remained. A monument commemorating the Holocaust victims is located on the cemetery.
The cemetery acreage is 4,5 ha
Note: there is a second Jewish cemetery in Augustow, located on Warynskiego street. It was complately destroyed during the World War II - no matzevot have left. This cemetery acreage is 0,04 ha.
