Jewish cemetery in Józefow upon Vistula River is located about 500 meters from the Main Square, 100 meters south from Urzedowska St. In 1921 in Józefow there were 736 Jewish residents. The cemetery was established in 17th century – last burials were registered in 1942. Today only 5 damaged matzevot from 19th century are left on the cemetery. The necropolis was destroyed during the war and even after it; today it’s overgrown with thicket and unkempt. The area is 1.32 ha.
