On September 27, 2010, a group of Israeli students visited Sosnowiec. Jewish youth met their Polish counterparts from the Stanislaw Staszic High School, together carried out cleanup works on the local Jewish cemetery and visited the town. The meeting was organized by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland within the framework of the “Haverim-Friends” project.
