Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland recently received information that a number of matzevot fragments were found in Augustow. The fragments, probably coming from the local Jewish cemetery were secured by the inhabitants and in nearest future will come back to the cemetery thanks to Foundation’s efforts. We would like to thank the inhabitants of Augustow for their civic awareness!
