On January 27th, 2011 celebration of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day took place in Rzeszow. It was co-organized by the Department of Jewish History and Culture of the Historical Institute of the Rzeszow University, which is a partner of Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland.
