On January 27, 2011 the ceremony related to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day took place at Warsaw’s Ghetto Heroes Monument. The event was under honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronislaw Komorowski, and the President of Warsaw, Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz.

Representatives of state authorities, delegations of social and religious organizations, scouts and Shalom Foundation placed flowers at the monument to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust. Andrzej Seweyn and the actors of the Jewish Theatre presented an artistic program. Representatives of different religions and churches prayed together for those who were lost.

The event was organized by Shalom Foundation and the City of Warsaw.
