We are pleased to inform about the progress of the works executed by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland at the Szczebrzeszyn Jewish cemetery. The part of the fence facing Cmentarna St. is now nearly completed. Soon the gate to the cemetery will be erected and the area around it will be arranged.

The Jewish cemetery in Szczebrzeszyn had been established in the 16th century and was used until the World War II. Over 400 matzevot has survived there.
