On June 13th, 2011 at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage a ceremony of handing the “Preserving Memory” Diplomas took place. The Diplomas are awarded to Poles who have distinguished themselves in protecting Jewish heritage in Poland. The laureates are selected by the Israeli Embassy, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Michael H. Traison Fund for Poland, Jewish Historical Institute and the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland.
During this year’s 14th ceremony the Diplomas were handed to 11 laureates from Bielsk Podlaski, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Kielce, Knyszyn, Kozieglowy, Cracow, Miedzyrzec Podlaski, Nowa Wies by Wronki, Sokolow Podlaski, Szczekociny and Warsaw. » back |
