The first stage of works at the Jewish cemetery in Szczebrzeszyn, carried out by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland has come to an end. The wall facing Cmentarna St. is now completed and fitted with a large and small gate.
The Jewish cemetery in Szczebrzeszyn had been established in the 16th century and was used until the World War II. Over 400 matzevot has survived there.
