2012-04-19 YOM HA-SHOAH
On April 19, 2012 we were commemorating the Holocaust Memorial Day (Yom HaZikaron laShoah ve-laG'vurah), which falls on the 27th day of Nisan, on the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland joined the commemoration – representatives of the Foundation were participating in a ceremony led in the former ghetto area of Warsaw.
On that day thousands of participants from all around the globe took part in the March of Living, which was held in Auschwitz-Birkenau for the 21st time. Among the participants were the students of Polish schools, members of the “To Bring Memory Back” educational program led by the Foundation. » back |
