On June 17, 2012, a ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of the destruction of the Jews of Brzostek took place on the local Jewish cemetery. Participating were guests from Poland and abroad: from Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Republic of South Africa, Israel, Australia and the United States. The ceremony was initiated and co-organized by PhD Jonathan Webber, English anthropologist, currently teaching at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
