Between September 19th and October 31st, 2012 a series of educational workshops for high school students from Zamosc and vicinity will be held in the ‘Synagogue’ Center of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland. Interactive workshops will present history and culture of the Jewish community of Zamosc which for centuries contributed to the city’s intellectual, religious and cultural heritage.
The classes will focus on following topics:
1. History of Jews in Zamosc.
2. Judaism – main holidays and traditions.
3. Role of a synagogue in Jewish community.
Workshops are organized within the framework of the project Creating
a team of cultural animators for the ‘Synagogue’ Center, which is implemented in cooperation with the ‘Well of Memory’ Association and the Center for Jewish History and Culture of the State Higher School of Vocational Education in Zamosc.
