On April 9th 2013 at the ‘Synagogue’ Center of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland a meeting promoting a publication ‘Majdanek. Concentration camp in the accounts by prisoners and witnesses’ took place. It is an anthology selected and compiled by Marta Grudzińska. The book appeared under the imprint of the State Museum at Majdanek www.majdanek.eu.

The publication consists of memories and testimonies by prisoners and other witnesses: civil workers, people giving aid to inmates and released prisoners, as well as by those who visited Majdanek shortly after the liquidation of the camp. It was attempted to collect such documents which are representative for prisoners of various nationalities, reflect experiences from various perspectives and show important events from the history of Majdanek. Another part of the anthology is a CD with audio accounts by former prisoners.
