On May 27, 2006, Klodzko was visited by a group of guests of an international conference organized by the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe. The conference was entitled: "Voluntary Work as a Base of European Civic Society". The aim of their arrival to Klodzko was to visit the Jewish cemetery, which takes part in the "Volunteers at Service of Monuments" project. Restoration of the Klodzko cemetery is coordinated by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland.
At the cemetery the guests were guided by Mr. Tomasz Jamrog, a historian who cooperates with the Foundation for the Preservation o f Jewish Heritage in Poland as a volunteer since September 2005. He told the visitors not only about the history of the cemetery, but also about the history of the Jewish community in Klodzko and our plans for the future. After leaving the cemetery, flowers were laid by a monument commemorating Klodzko Jews, erected on the site where the synagogue (destroyed during Kristallnacht) used to be.
