2017-01-27 HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY IN THE "SYNAGOGUE" CENTRE IN ZAMOSC
On Friday, January 27, on the occasion of the Holocaust Memorial Day, wartime memoirs of Kurt I. Lewin from Lviv were read in the Zamosc synagogue. After the reading, the remains of a prewar synagogue scroll from Zamosc were shown to public. Two scrolls from Lublin area, including the one from Zamosc, were recently renovated by our Foundation thanks to the support of the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute. The renovation works were carried out in the Department of and Leather Conservation of the Nicolaus Copernicus University of Torun.
