Between October 12-15, 2021, on the initiative and by coordination of the local authorities of the City and Municipality of Serock, cleaning works were carried out at the Jewish cemetery in this town. The works were co-financed by the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport as part of the National Centre for Culture 'Culture - Interventions 2021' program, awarded to the Cultural Heritage Foundation for the activities of the Coalition of Guardians of Jewish Cemeteries in Poland. The partners of clean-up works the cemetery were: the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, the City and Commune of Serock and the Włodzimierz Wolski District Secondary School Complex in Serock. The cutting work was carried out by a company dealing with the care of greenery, which was supported by students – volunteers from the aforementioned school with teacher Marek Szajda at the forefront. Taking this opportunity, we would like to thank Mayor, Mr. Artur Borkowski for his personal commitment to the protection of the Jewish tangible heritage in Serock and its surroundings.
