On May 23, 2022, an action was carried out to clean up the Jewish cemetery in Korczyna (Krosno County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship). The clean-up was done by employees, doctoral students and students of the Institute of History of the University of Rzeszów, headed by Professor Wacław Wierzbieńc and Professor Elżbieta Rączy.
During the clean-up, the group not only removed the vegetation that made it difficult to move around the cemetery, but also listened to a lecture by Professor W. Wierzbieniec, devoted to the history of Jews in Korczyna.
The event was held in the framework of FODZ cooperation with the Institute of History of the University of Rzeszów and the Korczyna Community Office. We take this opportunity to thank our partners for their help in maintaining the area of the Jewish cemetery in Korczyna.
