linia 2022-08-22 Clean-up of the cemetery in Krynki

On August 16, 2022, a group of volunteers: Joanna Czaban from  Krynki  and the Baj family from Warsaw members: Michał, Jadwiga, Klara and Piotr, carried out a clean-up at the Jewish cemetery in Krynki. The grass was mowed at the entrance to the cemetery as well as on the other side of the cemetery wall creating access to the main clusters of matzevot. Also some bushes were removed revealing more matzevot so far hidden from the human eye. Another volunteer, Agnieszka Jeż from Warsaw, is coming to Krynki. Joanna Czaban is planning to continue work with her. After they finish the work FODZ will ask local authorities to dispose of the removed self-seeders and grass. We take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to Joanna Czaban and her friends who continue their commitment to the preservation of the Jewish cemetery in Krynki.
