In the last days of September, a group of local volunteers carried out preliminary cleaning works at the Jewish cemetery in Baligród. The Mayor of Baligród, Mr. Robert Stępień, announced that he would provide assistance from the local authorities in the disposal of cut self-seeds and grasses. We take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to the volunteers and local authorities for their support. This clean-up action is the beginning of a more systematic care of the cemetery area. The next stage is a clean-up to be carried out thanks to the support of FODŻ by the National Institute for the Conservation of Monuments. Then, with the support of FODŻ partners, we will take care of maintaining the cemetery area in an appropriate state.
