In recent days, as part of the cooperation between FODZ and the National Institute for the Conservation of Monuments (NIKZ), cleaning works were carried out at the Jewish cemetery in Jedwabne. The first stage of the works included mowing grass and self-sown seeds and cutting shrubs. The works were carried out in accordance with guidelines of the Rabbinical Commission for Cemeteries in Poland. The places where matzevot are located in the cemetery are also marked. We take this opportunity to express our warm thanks to the National Institute for the Conservation of Monuments for their help in bringing order to the cemetery in Jedwabne. At the same time, we hope to continue cleaning works at this cemetery, as part of the cooperation between FODZ and NIKZ also next year.
