Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, together with the Embassy of Germany, is entering a new stage of the the Izbica Jewish community commemoriaton project. Before the World War II over 90% of Izbica (lubelskie province) citizens were Jews. Thanks to the Embassy's support, a memorial dedicated to the Izbica Jews will soon be erected at the local Jewish cemetery. The unveiling ceremony will take place in November 2006.
