Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland is restoring the roof of the Ziebice synagogue (dolnoslaskie province). Works are conducted in cooperation with the Ziebice authorities and Friends of Ziebice Society “Ducatus”. The Ziebice synagogue is one of only two synagogues which survived in the area of Walbrzych. It was built in 1845 in English neo-gothic style. Inside the synagogue there is a plague commemorating Julius Schottländer, who at the beginning of the 20h century was the wealthiest citizen of Wrocław, a local community leader and the founder of several charitable institutions. The “Essential restoration works in the 19th century synagogue in Ziebice” project is conducted thanks to the donation of the Dolnoslaskie Province Marshall Office.
