On the 12th of April 2005 a meeting with the town’s Mayor and a representative of the Geodesy Department of the town of Biłgoraj took place. The subject of the meeting was the case of the Jewish cemetery in Józefów Biłgorajski. Local authorities have declared to clean up the area of the cemetery, which is beautifully located on a hill. The problem of the lack of a road of approach to the cemetery remains unsolved, the Mayor, however, declared his help in finding a solution. We hope that after a cleanup the Józefów cemetery will become an important sight on the Roztocze tourist route
